If you are new to babywearing, please practice when you are at home and your baby is rested and content.  Have another person to help at first if you do not feel comfortable.  Once the child is in the carrier, get moving! Walk around even if you are just in the house. 

Babies prefer motion to standing still, but once they are accustomed to the carrier, they may be content to be held more still.
