LadyCup®

The material used to make Lady Cup is a Liquid Silicone Rubber from a German company. LadyCup® has been awarded the "Certificate of Compliance with USB Biological Tests, Classification VI" (Bioservice – Scientific Laboratories) ensuring the highest quality when making these products.

Compared to other menstrual cups, LadyCup® has a different design. One of their differences is that there are no marks, inscriptions or symbols on its inner and outer surface. Therefore cleaning maintenance is very easy. The shape and surface of the bottom part and of the stem is adapted for easier removal/insertion thanks to its raised bumps. The thickness of the silicone material used is adapted to provide maximum flexibility, thus ensuring the best possible feeling during use. Low pressure openings are designed so as to prevent possible running through.

The Ladycup comes in 2 sizes. The size differential is greater than between the A and B Mooncup, so please choose carefully :

    Diameter Vol.
S(mall)

Not given birth &

Below 25 years old

40mm 15.5ml
L(arge)

Given Birth or

Above 25 years old

46mm 26ml

The medical grade silicone used is softer than other menstrual cups and their silicone. This means it's easier to insert, but may take extra practice to get it to 'open up' once inserted. But once you get a hang of it you may never switch.

You can also buy the ladycup in twos at a great discount! (give one to a friend, or keep a spare just in case)

Really easy to use
By Qhatijah
I was initially too intimidated to try. When i finally did, boy was i happy. Makes my menses mess free, fuss free. I don't have to worry about a full pad, because u can always empty a full cup easily. Really easy to insert.

Love the idea

I can't see why anyone would not appeal to the idea of a reusable cup.It has so many benefits over pads and tampons, not to mention it is eco-friendly too. It took me several months before i know how to use it. But then, after i know,i am so relief and glad being able to use it. Definitely would recommend it to anyone i know, hopefully they would like it as i am.If anyone need some help on cups, they can go to livejournal cup community where they share experience on cups. Happy cupping!

This is so good....

I discovered reusable menstrual cloth pads & cups early May and have been reading a lot about them. I was so excited that immediately got myself some cloth pads & a cup. I really don’t like the disposal pads. I am not a Tampon user but the thought of just having my cup with me that is all I need for my menses…. thrill me… no more buying disposal pads, no more bringing packets of pads with me when I make a rather long travelling.. Though the cloth pads are also good… but with cup, a lot less washing… So, I am determined to get the cup to work for me. This effort put in will bring a lot of convenience for the many years to come. Not just that, better for my health, no toxin products for me, I will save a lot of money… and of course better for the environment. Fortunately, it was quite easy for me to insert to remove the cup… Hooray… ! I no longer need to depend on plastic disposable pads that become so uncomfortable towards the last couple of days of my menses. I encourage all ladies to try the cups, if not, at least try the cloth pads. It is healthier, environmentally friendly, and of course they save you tons of money. The following forum is really good to help us with the pads & cups: http://community.livejournal.com/menstrual_cups http://community.livejournal.com/cloth_pads

The best thing ever, for me!
By Noor Fazian
I fell in love with my LadyCup. The Store Manager, Kak Baiti was the one who recommended it to me and after a quick research, I bought it and immediately try it during my menses. It didn't disappoint me. No more resorting to buying tampons or pads for me! Too bad it didn't come in colours...Pink and Blue, that is. But all in all, I absolutely love it!

Just get it.

The thing I like about the LadyCup is that I can forget I have my period for hours at a go. No more wet string, and no more changing tampons every four hours, yay! The second thing I like, is that I don't have to throw away used sanitary products in the bin. Seriously, the monthly bulk of waste is so apparent once you stop doing it. Answers to questions my friends had: 1) I bought the L size, but really, I think the smaller one will be more appropriate for days other than the day of heaviest flow. And even then, I think S will manage with just one extra change. 2) I've never changed the LadyCup in public restrooms because I've never been that desperate. Also, on most days a LadyCup (L) can last me 8-10 hours, so I'm usually home by then. 3) No it's not awkward to insert. I learned it within the first day. 4) It's wayyyy more comfortable than a tampon, which sometimes feels a bit uncomfortable after 2 hours. 5) Easy to clean: Just rinse after use, and by end of menses sterilise/boil it. Can be done in the shower. By all means sterilise it frequently (but it's really not necessary if you rinse regularly).

The best RM145 I ever spent!
By Mardhiah
I bought the cup (LadyCup L) about less than a month ago and I am currently wearing it for the first time (my first period with it). I love it! It took me a while to insert it (the whole day to be exact, kept trying every chance I get) but once I did, it was liberating. I feel so free, clean and dry. I still wear a cloth pantyliner in case it leaks, which it does when its full but the leaks are not as bad as pad leaks. I just need to keep emptying it every 3 hours or so for the days I am bleeding heavily. I might consider buying another cup which can hold more as the LadyCup doesn't hold much despite it being Large. Removing was easier to me than inserting. I just did a few kegels to get the stem out, grab the stem, pinch the bottom of the cup to release the suction and gently 'walk' or 'rock' it out of my vagina. I'll empty the cup, rinse it, then insert it again. Then I'll clean myself up, make sure my cup is working (i'll use tissues to see if there's any leaks) and off I go. I find that it helps me get to know my amazing womanly features instead of shying away from it and ignoring it. I seem to get much less cramps too for some reason. I feel like I'm not having my period! My only concern is the stem, it pokes around pretty easily and feels uncomfortable, but it can be trimmed. I don't want to though, because I suspect my cervix is pretty high and my cup kept wanting to go inside. All in all, I highly recommend it for beginners. I'm 25 and I use the Large, younger girls should probably choose the smaller ones if they haven't given birth yet. It may seem daunting at first, but I promise once you get the hang of it, you'll truly have a happy period.
