Pikkolo Soft Structured Carriers are a great choice for those with younger babies (8 pounds up to 40 pounds).

Pikkolo is a mei tai inspired carrier with the convenience of side-release buckle closures. Additionally, pikkolo's unstructured waist makes it possible to cinch the carrier narrower to enable small babies to ride legs-out or older infants to face forward comfortably. All buckles adjust both ways for an optimal fit.

Use pikkolo:

• front facing in or out
• on your hip
• on your back
• with your detachable flat sleeping hood (included with purchase) when your little one's head gets floppy

The pikkolo has the most 'curved in' seat where baby's legs sit, so it makes it easier for younger babies who aren't as comfortable with their legs wide apart, compared to other Soft Structured Carriers.  Pikkolos also have a unique waist belt using material similar to airplane seat belts, which mean a much trimmer waist but the carrier is still very secure and safe.
