Differences between DK98 and DK93 Models :

DK98 is more industrial use, it's actually same footprint size as the DK93 more or less although it looks smaller in the photo. In terms of metal, it's much heavier.

Also, DK98 uses a smooth shank die (that is, not screw in) and to change the top die you have to use an allan key (included) to unscrew the screw before taking out the die and replacing it.

The DK93 uses a screw shank die, which means you don't have to have that extra allan key - you just screw it in and screw it out.

For home use, we recommend the DK93, unless you're buying 2 sets otherwise everytime you snap something it's more troublesome to switch out the die for male and female snaps.

DK93 is a metal green color, DK98 is the beige color in the photos

Great little snap press, one step up from a snap plier.
By Rebecca
The Dk93 is definitely lighter than the DK98. I found the footprint of DK 93 slightly narrower than the DK98, so the base might tip over when pressing on the handle. This snap press was also the only press that my baby could push over and potentially hurt herself due to its weight (The other press DK98 has a heavy base so no worries using it around children) The handle was also narrower than the DK98, so my hand could hurt a little if I was snapping a lot of nappies at once (that means around 20+ nappies). But I found that the DK93 could press snaps more securely with less effort compared to DK98 as the handle curves upwards at the end. Also, the screw in top die tends to unscrew itself after repeated pressing, so you have to rescrew it from time to time. There was also once when I couldn't unscrew the die as it had been screwed on too tight. So I had to use my other snap press to use the opposite die. It did loosen eventually after snapping a few times, but not very good if you intend to change dies very often and it happens to be tight. Overall, a good little snap press. Might want to wrap a bit of fabric around the handle to make it easier on the hands. And maybe bolt the bottom of the snap press onto a wide piece of wood to stabilise it.
