Scootababy

Scootababy is the brainchild of Audra Meng, designer of the Scootababy carrier, and cofounder of Scootababy LLC with her husband, Jack.

This structured, soft padded hip carrier was designed by Audra out of desperation after her first child started getting colicky. Carrying was the best way to soothe him, but her arms weren't up for the heavy duty carrying!

She soon discovered that the hip-straddle position was the most natural for her and her child, but she didn't want to deal with the fuss of adjusting and readjusting the carrier - comfort and convenience was the key, especially as her baby got older and heavier.

Audra has a Ph.D. in bioengineering and she applied her learning to designing this perfect weight distribution bearing carrier which replicates how babies are naturally carried by adults.

Its engineered design is also sure to appeal to men who don't want flowy 'girly' carriers!
